There are times when you create emails and they get opened almost immediately. Sometime it does not just happen as you may expect. Emails are not always opened and read.

The goal of marketing is the same for everyone. Every marketer expects the emails they send to get opened, read and even replied. That is the ultimate goal of email campaigns because it gets customers to develop interest in the product. Even if they don’t purchase, it gives hope that the goal has somehow been achieved.

Getting the emails read is however the problem. It is not easy to do this and one has to learn a few tricks to get themselves the perfect marketing solution. The following tips could be the solution you are looking for.

The subject line should be attractive

When sending an email, the goal is to capture the attention of the reader. They have other things coming and probable won’t look through all of them. As they browse through them, they are looking for something that will grasp their attention.

Your subject line tells everything to you the client. You only have a few sends the get them interested and the subject line is your ultimate weapon. The best subject line should only be 6 to 8 words. Keeping it short and straight to the point is what makes someone want to open and read.

Of all the tips for writing emails, this is the most important one. Customers do not enjoy being bored by too much information. They want something that is clear, short and direct to the point.

Most people are very busy and they have other mails streaming. This means they don’t have all the time to go through long emails. A short email is more attractive than a long on.

Make them about the customer

One of the greatest mistakes that marketers make is to jump to the hard sell immediately. The message is not about you, it is about them. You want to offer the customer what they want so offer them something that help of them.

It is all about being smart enough to make the customer feel comfortable. Offer them tips on how best to use the product for example.

Become social with them. Not only are you interested in selling, you are also interested in keeping the customer.

Make the content useful

If you write content that is useful, it becomes very easy to get the customer to read it. Do not make a mistake of straying away from your subject matter.

If you are talking about a particular product, let the content flow in that direction and not the other way round. Customers are interested in knowing how the product will help them. It is better if you keep the descriptions to yourself.
